What do two running dogs have to do with writing!?
Hello!
Okay, so these are not my dogs.
I'll send a picture of him soon. I do want to explain... (and thank you for being here, I'm so excited to have you!) This is my first official post to a group of emailers who signed up for my newsletter.
I assume the "Annnd... We're Off," is obvious, but in case I'm assuming wrong, because not everyone has my brain, it's because this is the inaugural email and so I'm celebrating with cute pictures of dogs running instead of people running, although writing is a marathon.
Since this newsletter and post are new, I'm curious what you'd like to hear about from me? I have five-and-a-half-year's experience in the indie publishing world, so I have a lot of writing and self-publishing knowledge I can share. My novel, Cinders Burn at Midnight is slated to be published January 2025 (release date to come soon!)
I'm also releasing a novella to replace the sneak peek I sent anyone who signed up for the Group Promo event and can send it to you when it's done, probably in a few weeks. Please email me if you'd like to know more about the novella.
An Introduction:
I'm Kara M. Zone, I write dark fantasy and while my debut novel and the series it's going to be is new adult, I don't only write new adult fiction. But most of my stories, novels, and other pieces have dark undertones to them along with a fantastical element.
I'm a mother of two children, a wife, and I do a bunch of stuff in the writing world. I have a four-year-old pup named Ash (picture below next to mine) and a cat fifteen-year-old cat named Agador (picture also below).
I've been writing for about fifteen years, teaching and ghostwriting for five-and-a-half, and I coach others who want to self-publish. While I still ghostwrite, I'm taking less clients in that realm to focus on my writing because it's time, and I hope you enjoyed the characters as much as I had fun creating it.
