Or I can, but when I do I get severe pain and prefer not to put myself through that.
Donuts are a representation of how many options are out there. If you don't like a particular donut, you can always try another. This metaphor also works with ice cream, but it doesn't have that old-timey 80s feel of the Dunkin' man constantly making donuts.
So, I'm at a turning point.
I'm looking into self-publishing and traditional publishing for my novel—either way, I want it published in 2025. Even if it's not a terrible experience, my gut tells me I need to do something else with my novel. The current deal I have going on isn't working out the way I wanted it to, and I'm lucky enough to be able to have those options. I have five+ years of working in the self-publishing world, so I know what to do and again, I'm lucky there.
It's coming!
It will be published in the first quarter of 2025, I've no doubt of that.
But now, I get to sift through the donut options and find what feels right.
